Her Story
About Stephanie
Stephanie Jacobson serves as a payroll coordinator at U.S. Foods in the distribution industry, a role she has held for six months. She brings one year and five months of experience in her field (Human Resources), also having previously worked in inventory control and quality assurance at Walmart, as well as in manufacturing both on the production floor and in recruiting. Passionate about helping people, she has pursued work in recruiting, community outreach, and employee relations. Stephanie earned her HR Management Certificate in March 2024 and holds a high school diploma. Outside of work, she volunteers for community outreach initiatives, career fairs, and anything extra curricular at work. She attributes her success to her drive, never giving up, and always keeping the bigger picture in mind. Stephanie advises young women entering the industry to step out of their comfort zone and take the leap, noting tremendous growth from doing so.

01What do you attribute your success to?
My drive. Never giving up or quitting. Being able to see the end game and the big picture. I always have the big picture in mind!
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be yourself no matter what role you're in.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just don't be afraid to step out of your comfort zone. Even if that involves a move out of your hometown- take the leap and do it. You grow tremendously when you take those leaps of faith.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Not being in the exact field that I want to be currently as a payroll coordinator, but making the best of it.

Honesty, integrity, purpose, staying true to myself, trusting the process
