Stephanie Synder Kabel

She is an accomplished economic development, workforce, and human resources leader with over two decades of experience across state economic development, education, and property management. Currently serving as Director of Business Expansion and Retention for the Northern Indiana Region at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, she supports business growth, retention, and expansion initiatives across the region. Her earlier career includes serving as Director of People, Relations, and Culture at the Career Academy Network of Public Schools, where she led HR across five charter schools, developed policies and procedures, implemented a new teacher salary scale, managed recruitment with a 98% fill rate, led Paylocity and Employee Navigator integration, and hosted the district's first internal career fair. She also served as Director of Business Retention and Expansion at the Economic Development Corporation of Elkhart County, where she toured over 150 businesses annually, developed workforce training programs, presented tax abatements before city and county councils, and worked directly with the State of Indiana on incentive applications, and as Enrollment Manager at Indiana Institute of Technology, where she built strategic partnerships, exceeded enrollment goals, and managed staff and budgets. Her earlier career includes over eleven years in regional property management, where she consistently exceeded sales and occupancy goals and earned multiple awards for budget and revenue performance. Her career reflects a deep commitment to business growth, workforce development, and building strong community partnerships.
