About Stephanie
I work for Home Helpers of the Gulf Coast as the RN Regional Manager Administrator. I've been an RN since 2011, working first on a trauma neurotrauma floor in the hospital, then hospice for a year, before transitioning to home care. I focus on payer sources and helping elderly clients get the resources they need to stay at home as long as possible. I am a BLS instructor and member of the Healthcare Association of Florida.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stephanie
01What do you attribute your success to?
My success comes from family support, 100%.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Never take a job for money. As a nurse, it's not even a career, it's a passion. If you don't have the passion for whatever you're doing, if you look at it like a job, you're going to be miserable. You've got to have a passion about it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay focused, stay healthy, and balance work, life, and family. Balance is so important.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge is finding people that want to work and actually care. The opportunity is the same - if they would work, there's so much opportunity and growth for them.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Honesty is most important. If you're honest, everything else just kind of falls into place.
