What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, perseverance, and a clear commitment to my goals. After nearly 30 years in accounting, I worked diligently to earn my role as Assistant Controller—a position I set out to achieve and have proudly held for the past year and a half. I’m also grateful for the support of a CFO who leads with an open door and a listening ear, creating an environment where I’m encouraged to learn, grow, and continue to flourish.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to keep going and never stop advancing, even when life gets difficult. After experiencing significant personal challenges—including the loss of my father, a serious car accident, and my sister’s illness—I stayed the course and completed my degree, honoring a promise I made to my father. That perseverance has stayed with me throughout my career and continues to guide me forward.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to keep going and never give up. There will be challenges along the way, but perseverance, commitment to learning, and belief in yourself will carry you forward and open doors you may not initially see.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges right now is balancing the growing demands of the role while remaining fully present and devoted to family. At the same time, this creates an opportunity to build a career that reflects both professional excellence and personal priorities, proving that success can include meaningful family relationships—especially the time spent with loved ones like her granddaughter.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are devotion to my family and friends, who are always my top priority. Professionally, I am equally committed to giving my company my full time, focus, and effort, believing that integrity, dedication, and consistency are essential to doing my best work.
