Her Story

About Stephanie

My professional journey has taken me through several distinct phases that have all contributed to where I am today. I started my career in supply chain management at a consumer products company after completing my degree in that field. After finishing my MBA, I wanted to take a turn and do something different, so I moved into market research. I ended up getting a job with SAP way back as a consultant, but then I quickly moved into market research, doing work in that realm. I was more involved at a strategic level, looking at market trends, the competitive landscape, and supporting the field in this very dynamic industry. Working with the field and with SAP partners gave me a really good grounding on what's important to the market, how SAP looks at the market, and how customers consume SAP. I was able to help SAP's sales team be as successful as they could be. Today, my main areas of expertise are relationship management, community management, and SAP technology, which came because of my background in other areas like competitive and market intelligence, analyst relations, and communications. You build on your skills, and this is where I am now. In my current role, I'm kind of going back to my roots of being able to support from a community perspective how customers can adopt SAP in the most successful way. I work with people out there advocating for SAP who are influencing SAP in the market - they're customers, partners, and independent consultants. I provide a platform for them to share their knowledge, present on their knowledge, build relationships, and collaborate with other people in the ecosystem.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say my success comes from the relationship side - what I enjoy most is relationship building and trust, and forging a sense of belonging and unity while inspiring others. It's kind of selfless, really. You could say, what do you get out of that? It's just, I like to see people succeed. And I like to see them, when they succeed, encourage others to learn from them and be better. If you look at my LinkedIn and the recommendations people have given me over the years, I feel like people would say about me that I'm highly collaborative. I look at the big picture, I try to look at what's the better good of both the customer and SAP. There's always that balance, and I try to impact what I can.
