What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to meeting people where they are and serving with heart, knowing that true influence is measured by the lives I’ve helped. After decades of organizing and social work, the most rewarding part for me is the meaningful exhaustion that comes from giving my all each day.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received came from Bertha Skinner Laury a mentor who showed me the power of guidance, support, and leading with strength and integrity.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this field is to stay open to learning and change, speak your mind without fear, and build your influence through service, stamina, and collaboration with diverse voices.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are service, integrity, and connection, balanced with joy and creativity through hobbies like theater, musicals, live concerts, and treasure hunting at goodwill stores.
