Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stephanie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the love, encouragement, and support of my family. My husband of 21 years supported me through the challenges of working and attending school, while my parents made significant sacrifices to provide me with a strong educational foundation. Their unwavering support has been instrumental to my success.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that “no question is a dumb question.” I believe asking questions, sharing ideas, and encouraging open dialogue are essential for growth. As a leader, I strive to create an environment where my team feels comfortable speaking up, challenging decisions, and sharing concerns, because even one idea can lead to a better solution.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My strongest advice to young women entering my industry is to advocate for yourself and never feel like the lesser person in the room. Recognize your value, speak with confidence, and pursue the opportunities you deserve. Women are incredibly strong, and bringing that confidence and resilience into your career can make a meaningful difference.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges I see in healthcare is the impact of changes in government policies and funding, particularly for certain patient populations and organizations. Insurance restrictions can also limit what we can do for patients, even when we want to provide the best possible support and care.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Communication, honesty, and sincerity are the values I consider most important in both my professional and personal life. I believe in addressing issues openly rather than letting them build up. Even when there are disagreements, honest communication and finding common ground are essential to building strong relationships.
