Her Story

About Stephanie

Stephanie Pierce brings more than 15 years of experience to her work in behavioral leadership consulting. She began her career in group counseling during her undergraduate studies, initially pursuing a path toward teaching, and worked with youth in the juvenile justice system overseeing progress and treatment goals. After switching her focus to psychology to help individuals at a disadvantage, she gained experience in schools, community services, and the Department of Health. Recognizing gaps in behavioral health services and how organizations handle different personalities, she transitioned into leadership roles focused on strategies for team dynamics and employee support. Pierce holds a Master of Science in Psychology and maintains certifications in DISC, trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy, and leadership development through Bucks County Community College. She also volunteers with the Health Services Commission on community initiatives. Pierce attributes her success to constructive feedback, open communication, and transparency, while emphasizing values of compassion, empathy, trust, and emotional intelligence in her professional practice.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Stephanie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would definitely say being challenged and having constructive feedback. I require a lot of feedback. I like getting input from people. I'm really big, wherever I go, I'm like, communication is one of my top. That is something that I think helps me grow, is having open communication and having transparency with people that I work with.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just to be open to trying different things. You never know where your skills lie, unless you try. I would have never thought my skills would lead to this. The more you try, and the more that you don't let kind of like your nervousness get in the way, I think that you'd be surprised at how many things that you actually have the skills.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The field is experiencing increasing demand, workforce challenges, and complex needs among children, families, and adults. I’m pursuing behavioral management because I’m interested in bridging clinical understanding with strong operations, leadership, and team development. I see an opportunity to help organizations create more effective systems, strengthen staff engagement and retention, and ultimately improve outcomes for the individuals and families they serve.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Compassion. That is one thing that is a value of mine. Trust and communication are definitely all things that I value, those values I bring into every form of work that I do.
