01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of strong values, work ethic, and the support of the people around me. Above all, integrity has always been the foundation of my career. In the finance and accounting field, ethical leadership and trust are essential, and I have always believed in doing the right thing, leading with transparency, and maintaining the highest level of professional integrity.
I have also focused on continuously adding value in every role I’ve held by being dependable, solution-oriented, and committed to helping my team and organization succeed. I believe success comes not only from individual achievement, but from contributing to the growth and success of those around you.
Another important part of my journey has been having a strong support system. My husband has been incredibly supportive throughout my career and has always encouraged me to pursue opportunities and continue growing professionally. I have also been fortunate to have several outstanding mentors along the way who invested in me, challenged me, and helped guide my leadership development. Their support and guidance have played a significant role in shaping the professional I am today.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received was to gain as many tools in my toolbox as possible by continuously learning and expanding my skill set. That advice taught me the importance of staying curious, being adaptable, and never limiting myself to only one area of expertise. Every new experience, challenge, and opportunity to learn adds value and helps build confidence as a leader. Throughout my career, that mindset has allowed me to grow professionally, take on new responsibilities, and continue evolving in an ever-changing business environment.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering the finance and accounting industry is to find a mentor, someone you trust and can turn to for guidance, support, and questions throughout your career. A mentor can be a manager, supervisor, or any leader who genuinely wants to see you grow and succeed.
Having mentors who believed in me, invested in my development, and shared their knowledge gave me confidence and helped guide my career path. I believe mentorship is one of the most valuable tools for professional growth, and I encourage young women to seek out leaders who will support, challenge, and inspire them along the way.
