What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to hard work, continuous learning through ongoing certifications, and communication skills developed through speech and debate. I’ve also been guided by strong mentorship, especially from Nikki Gordon, who encouraged me to pursue leadership opportunities and set healthy boundaries.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received has come through practical mentorship that taught me the importance of setting boundaries while also encouraging me to get involved in cross-team collaboration and volunteer initiatives.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is not to be afraid to take a seat at the table when it’s offered. The field is generally supportive and often female-led, and there are many opportunities to step into leadership if you’re willing to speak up and get involved.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges in my field include rapidly evolving platforms that require continuous learning and ongoing certifications, as well as adapting to the growing influence of AI. Remote work can also make it more difficult to build strong workplace relationships and connections. At the same time, there are significant opportunities to grow, particularly through expanding skill sets and stepping into leadership roles.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are community service, a strong and supportive company culture, and mentorship. I also prioritize work–life balance and maintaining clear boundaries to ensure long-term well-being and effectiveness.
