Ten minutes with Stephanie

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think it's my, growing up, the work ethic and the values my parents instilled upon me is… you're contributing factor to my success, and so, it's very important to follow through and do what you need to do, and that was something I learned very early in life. From my parents, so… That… that's… In itself, it's, significant.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Don't let people, individuals who, are around you take your joy. Always maintain and keep the joy that you have. In your heart. Don't… don't let them take that away from you.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Find a mentor, someone who can help guide you when you need advice. in times of difficulty. So, if you're out in the work environment, you really need a mentor, someone who you can fall back on and talk to to figure out what's going on In your decision-making, so that you make the correct choices as you move forward.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Keeping up with the work environment. It can be, Sometimes, like, trying to tackle a water hose that's running in. your face. You know, how do you deal with that, all that incoming? And the major thing is to try to keep your cool and, Be sure you're thinking clearly when someone is Trying to find the answer that they need so that there is… positive outcome and how you can do that. So, the work environment can be very… Busy, and whatever you can do to make accurate decisions is what's important.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I think integrity and respect, are… are the two, major contributions that are important, and also to be, confident and be able to reflect that back to others. And respect, gets back to following up with making any sort of commitment that you have, either in a committee or to an individual. It creates credibility for myself as an individual, and for them as an individual, respecting and reciprocating in whatever work we're doing together. Because if you don't follow up and do what you say you're gonna do, then you kinda don't maintain your credibility.
