About Stephanie

Stephanie White is an HR leader and practitioner with over 16 years of experience, having progressed from coordinator-level roles to management and director-level positions. She became interested in HR during her undergraduate studies at Johnson C. Smith University and has since focused on strategizing opportunities to enhance organizational goals and people strategy through engagement, performance management, training and development, employee relations, and talent management. Currently, she teaches organizational leadership at the graduate level while also engaging in consulting work to help organizations build leaders and functions. Stephanie holds an MBA in HR Management from Hood College and a Doctorate in Education with a concentration in organizational leadership from Northeastern University. She also possesses ATD certifications in virtual facilitation and training as well as instructional design. Her professional achievements include modernizing HR functions to secure a strategic seat at the table in growing organizations. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, the Hood College MBA Advisory Committee, and the Association of Talent Development (ATD). Stephanie volunteers by co-chairing a committee for her sorority and supporting initiatives through Laurel Church of Christ, including campaigns for mental health and children awareness. She received a 40 under 40 honor from her college and community recognition for a community day program.
