About Stephanie

Stephanie Suggs serves as a corporate or operational trainer with Optum, bringing more than 13 years of experience in healthcare administration and operations. Born and raised in DC, she began her professional journey as a medical records clerk in an OBGYN office before relocating to West Virginia to pursue further education and securing a position in health information management at a local hospital. She later transitioned to remote work with UnitedHealth Group, where she spent four years as a Central Support Operations Coordinator prior to advancing to her current trainer role in June of the previous year. In this capacity, Stephanie trains and supports team members on Salesforce and medical records retrieval, leads training sessions, mentors new employees, and works to simplify complex processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness in healthcare operations that ultimately benefit patient care. She takes pride in creating a lasting impact through service, leadership, and education, with a strong focus on customer service and helping others succeed. Looking ahead, she aims to advance further in healthcare administration, potentially as a senior corporate trainer or into a management position, and recognizes the importance of learning about AI to maintain relevance in the evolving field. Outside of work, Stephanie enjoys family time with her son and partner, outdoor activities, holistic practices including herbs, gardening, and writing poetry.
