Her Interview
Ten minutes with Stephanie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I think a lot of it is mindset and work ethic. There's a lot of things that will come and go but if those two things you always stay close to, no matter how bad the day was, if you come in the next day with a ready-to-go attitude, you're able to compartmentalize. I have a big fear of failure. I never want to feel like I've let myself or my team or my leaders down. I have a post-it on my desk that says 'Were you the best leader you could be today, and would Dad be proud of you?'
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Know your worth. If you come into any kind of role and you know who you are and what you're capable of, even the moments of imposter syndrome, and then you actually put in the work to prove it, the sky is truly the limit. Actions speak louder than words, so show up every day, put in the effort, show them what you're capable of, and be confident and proud in who you are.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include the economy with cost of living increasing while minimum wage stays the same, making it hard for small businesses; AI as a learning curve; competitors. Opportunities include embracing AI for better client access and information, and new post-COVID graduates as a blank slate ready to learn.
