Stephanie Watkins

Stephanie Watkins is an accomplished photojournalist, broadcaster, filmmaker, and creative entrepreneur with a lifelong passion for storytelling. As a Staff Photojournalist for FOX13 Memphis and President and Owner of AR Productions, she produces compelling visual and written content across journalism, documentaries, photography, voice acting, and spoken word artistry. Her career spans broadcasting, film production, and media communications, reflecting a versatile talent for capturing stories that inform, inspire, and connect with audiences.

Stephanie's passion for journalism began at an early age, leading her to pursue journalism studies throughout her education before earning an Associate of Arts degree from Southwest Tennessee Community College and a Bachelor of Liberal Studies with a concentration in African American and Women's Studies from the University of Memphis. Along the way, she gained experience in radio broadcasting as an on-air personality, served as a tour guide at Slave Haven Underground Railroad Museum, and completed a year of military service in the U.S. Army. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she is a published writer, poet, and affiliate of Sigma Chi Psi, while also advocating for women transitioning from domestic violence situations.

Known for her authenticity, humility, and unwavering work ethic, Stephanie credits much of her success to the guidance of her father, who taught her to "stay humble, stay hungry," remain grateful, and always do the right thing without harming others. She approaches both her career and personal life with a commitment to faith, balance, and service, believing in the importance of showing up as her true self while uplifting those around her. Through every role she undertakes, Stephanie continues to use the power of storytelling to educate, empower, and make a meaningful impact in her community.
