About Stephanie
Stephanie Wimmer, MBA is the Assistant Controller and Accounts Payable Manager at Jackson Group Peterbilt in Magna, Utah, where she provides financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic support to strengthen the organization’s accounting functions. With more than 22 years of experience in accounting, administration, and financial operations, Stephanie has built a successful career through dedication, continuous learning, and a strong commitment to excellence. She oversees an accounts payable team and manages critical financial processes, including payments, reconciliations, vendor relationships, and operational reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the organization.
Throughout her career, Stephanie has demonstrated exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. She has advanced through progressive roles in accounting, including nearly nine years with VCBO Architecture, while also gaining experience in legal services accounting at CitiCourt, LLC. Driven by her passion for growth, Stephanie returned to school while working full time and helping raise her granddaughter, earning her Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University in 2021. She also holds professional certifications including Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP), Certified Fraud Prevention Specialist (CFPS), and numerous additional software and professional certifications.
Stephanie is recognized for her strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to inspire and support those around her. She credits her grandfather’s advice, “You only have one name, give 110% to anything you do,” as a guiding principle throughout her personal and professional journey. A dedicated advocate for lifelong learning and community involvement, Stephanie is a member of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) and the Institute of Financial Operations & Leadership (IFOL), and is currently campaigning for election as Magna Water Board Trustee. Outside of her professional commitments, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, riding her Jeep, and rock climbing, embracing adventure and personal growth in all areas of life.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the values my grandfather instilled in me from an early age. He always told me, "You only have one name, so give 110% to everything you do, no matter what it is." That advice shaped my strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. It has guided me throughout my career, reminding me to approach every opportunity with integrity, dedication, and the determination to always do my very best.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women entering this industry to go for it with confidence and determination. Never stop learning, because continuous growth and expanding your knowledge are essential to long-term success. Stay curious, embrace new opportunities, and invest in developing your skills, as there is always something new to learn and room to grow both personally and professionally.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the greatest opportunities in my field is the ongoing demand for skilled and dedicated professionals. There will always be a need for individuals who are committed to serving others and delivering quality work. For those who continue to learn, adapt, and maintain a strong work ethic, the field offers long-term career stability, meaningful impact, and numerous opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, reliability, ethical leadership, empathy, and effective communication. I believe that acting with honesty and strong moral principles builds trust, while being dependable and accountable strengthens relationships. Leading with empathy allows me to understand and support others, and open, respectful communication helps foster collaboration, solve challenges, and create meaningful connections in every aspect of my life.
