Stephanie Woods is a facilitator, author, speaker, life coach, and addiction counselor whose work is rooted in helping people overcome adversity and rediscover their sense of purpose. Based in North Las Vegas, she has spent more than two decades mentoring youth and adults through life transitions, emotional struggles, identity challenges, and personal growth. Stephanie began her coaching journey in 2004 after working in the Las Vegas hospitality industry and later transitioning into entrepreneurship, life insurance, and motivational coaching. Her passion for empowering others eventually led her into addiction counseling in 2022, where she continues to support individuals navigating recovery and emotional healing. She also works as a contract coach with Sunrise Children’s Foundation while maintaining a private coaching practice.

Throughout her career, Stephanie has become known for what she calls “unscripted coaching,” an individualized and deeply empathetic approach that focuses on listening beyond surface-level problems. Rather than using rigid formulas, she tailors her guidance to each person’s unique experiences and emotional needs. Her work includes behavioral coaching, group therapy, women’s mentoring, leadership development, and corporate coaching, with a particular focus on helping people process emotions, rebuild confidence, and transition through difficult seasons of life. Stephanie is also the founder of GT Women (“Good Things”), a biblically rooted mentoring community that encourages women to heal emotionally, reclaim their identity, and recognize that adversity does not define their future. Through speaking engagements, workshops, and her book, Everything You Were Meant to Be Through Adversity, she continues to inspire audiences with messages of resilience, accountability, and hope.

Stephanie’s personal journey has played a powerful role in shaping her mission and perspective. She openly shares her experiences with childhood instability, teen pregnancy, abusive relationships, homelessness, trauma, and struggles with self-worth, using those challenges as a testimony of transformation rather than defeat. After returning to complete her high school diploma in 2013, she later earned her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from Grand Canyon University in 2023, an achievement she describes as deeply meaningful because it was pursued on her own terms. Guided by faith, mentorship, and determination, Stephanie has dedicated her life to helping others understand that healing is possible and that brokenness can become a source of strength. Her work in nonprofit organizations, women’s shelters, mentoring programs, and addiction recovery reflects her ongoing commitment to serving individuals and communities with authenticity, compassion, and purpose.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith in God and knowing in myself that I was created for more.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never allow other people to steal my time. I’ve learned the importance of setting boundaries, staying focused on my priorities, and investing my energy in opportunities and relationships that align with my goals and values.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to pursue work that genuinely inspires you and to always remain authentic. Take the time to truly listen to what clients may not be saying, avoid relying on scripted or canned responses, and focus on building trust through empathy, sincerity, and genuine care for the people you serve.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in this field is accepting that clients may not always act on the support provided, even when professionals give their best effort. At the same time, there are growing opportunities to expand impact through virtual and in-person services, speaking engagements, podcasts, and nonprofit partnerships that help reach vulnerable communities.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are presence, authenticity, and genuine care for others. I believe in respecting people’s choices, creating space for growth and learning, and staying grounded in faith while building meaningful and supportive relationships.
