About Sterling
Sterling Daniel serves as Site Manager at the Boys and Girls Club in Santa Monica, managing a site that supports over 60 youth. He is deeply committed to creating communities that honor the whole child, respecting their autonomy and ensuring their voices are heard with the same regard given to adults. His path into this work stems from his own experiences attending a Boys and Girls Club in Indiana, where he met his adoptive family and gained opportunities such as interning on Capitol Hill and attending college. Daniel holds a Political Science degree from Indiana University after starting as a social work major, studied abroad in Argentina, and earned a master's degree in Transformative Education with a focus on educational policy and administration, graduating with honors. He also completed a Teach for America stint as a high school teacher in South Central. Beyond his role, he is an active member of the Super Bloom Collective, a local Los Angeles non-profit that promotes holistic wellness through donation-based events in parks and beaches, where he helps organize activities. As a yoga teacher, he offers weekly donation-based classes in the park. His dedication to youth development and advocacy is informed by personal challenges he has overcome, including using holistic wellness to transform his life.
