Her Story

About Stuti

Stuti Mishra has nearly five years of experience in the consulting industry, with a specialization in operations consulting. She began her career at Deloitte Consulting in Bangalore, India, where she worked for 20 months after completing her undergraduate degree in computer science and engineering. Seeking deeper knowledge of consulting practices, she pursued a master's degree in management at Columbia University, focusing on operations consulting, and gained experience as a student consultant including work with the United Nations. Upon graduation, she joined Deloitte Consulting in the United States, where she has spent over three years contributing to the procurement and asset management team as well as product and finance teams. Mishra attributes her success to the supportive and open-minded attitude of her father, who retired as an executive director of a public sector company. She values resilience, emphasizing that progress comes from how quickly one gets back up after setbacks, and advises young women entering the field to believe in themselves and recognize that taking a less traveled path makes them trailblazers who inspire others.

Ten minutes with Stuti

01What do you attribute your success to?

I really do feel that whenever you see a successful woman out there, it usually there usually is a very strong and open-minded man behind her success. For me, I think, I was born in a family where my dad worked for a corporate firm. He retired as an executive director of a public sector company just 2 years ago, and he never differentiated between us. We had two girls, and he never differentiated or ordered there's something that's beyond our reach. That simple attitude changes everything.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

This is a great question. When I see myself working in this industry there are not very many examples that I could look at. The only thing I would like to tell women out there is that it's to believe in themselves. Because if the road is less traveled, it doesn't really mean that you are on the wrong path. It means that you're the trailblazer. And that you are not only doing it for yourself, but you are doing it for women all around the world who need inspiration like you.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

There's one thing that I always always always follow and no matter what situation I'm in this philosophy helps me move forward. And that is one simple thing. And it's not about how many times you fall down. It's about how quick you get back up.
