Her Interview
Ten minutes with Suganyak
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to consistent learning and upskilling with no barriers to learn. Even with over 10 years of experience, I am still learning every day. Coming from a small village in India to working in big MNCs and moving to the US shows the power of persistence and continuous growth.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I received was to consistently practice communication because it is no barrier to your technical skills. Take ownership, come forward, and lead the work. This helped me overcome initial lack of confidence from my small village background.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You need to learn because whatever was in yesterday, many things have changed. We need to learn and understand and take the ownership roles and responsibilities.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The industry is shifting towards AI, so we need to cope up with AI. There is no way to escape. We need to learn it and try to implement in our work. If you learn new technologies upfront before somebody else, you can get more opportunities. Technology changes fast so staying ahead is key.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Moral values, taking more responsibilities, finishing work within the time limit, and learning additional values apart from our work to do additional work are most important to me.
