She currently serves as the Branch Chief of Compliance at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), where she oversees compliance initiatives, including disability programs and reasonable accommodations that ensure employees with disabilities have the resources and support needed to perform their roles effectively. As an Army veteran and dedicated public servant, Suhai brings a strong commitment to service, integrity, and creating opportunities by removing barriers that limit individual and organizational success.

Throughout her career, Suhai has built extensive expertise in Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), disability law, conflict resolution, mediation, talent management, strategic communications, and organizational culture development. 01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance and the encouragement of mentors. My award and reward is seeing people succeed and jump over that adversity.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Mentors like Dr. Teresa Horne have shaped my leadership. I have many mentors across federal government, law enforcement, and veterans.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't give up. There are gonna be times where you're gonna be tried, because one, you're a woman. Continue to achieve your goals no matter what. Always continue to strive to be better, and to help the next generation.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is the stigma that if you are a person with a disability, that you can't do this and you can't do that. But with the tools necessary, people with severe disabilities can be successful.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, service, compassion, perseverance, and advocacy. Every individual deserves the opportunity to succeed.
