Her Story

About Summer

I'm an Account Executive with ABC Fox Montana in Missoula, Montana, where I help local business owners overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Whether it's increasing foot traffic, web traffic, revenue, or promoting sales and events, I work to understand each client's unique needs because every client is different. I bring my expertise to the table and provide strong strategy plans that hit each stage of the consumer funnel with strong tactics. I represent broadcast, streaming, social media, YouTube, pretty much everything. Before this role, I was a National Sales Assistant for two years, where I managed over 20 different national and regional accounts across the state of Montana, making sure orders were in place, clients' ads were running correctly, and maintaining strong agency relationships with headquarters in Minneapolis, New York, LA, and Chicago, etc. From the beginning, I told my company where I wanted to be, and I feel blessed because I feel valued and seen. I have a strong, supportive team that recognizes my efforts and work ethic, and they promoted me last year to be an Account Executive. Since then, I've been making waves. I was recently awarded for being the lead runner for new clients in our market, which is a big accomplishment. I find helping people through face-to-face connections are more powerful than behind the screen, and I love being that person clients can turn to for anything.

Ten minutes with Summer

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to consistency, adaptability, and building strong relationships. I focus on understanding people’s goals, delivering results, and staying committed even when challenges come up.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Control what you can control — your effort, consistency, and attitude. Results don’t always happen overnight, but disciplined habits compound over time.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be confident in your voice and your value. Don’t be afraid to take up space, ask questions, and advocate for yourself. Relationships, consistency, and confidence go a long way in this industry.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in advertising and media right now is how quickly consumer behavior is changing. Audiences are more fragmented than ever between streaming, social media, digital platforms, and traditional broadcast, so brands have to work harder to capture attention and prove measurable results. At the same time, that’s also one of the biggest opportunities. Businesses now have access to better audience targeting, data, and cross-platform strategies than ever before. Companies that can combine strong storytelling with data-driven marketing are seeing major growth opportunities.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Respect, communication, and dependability are very important to me. I think people remember how you treat others just as much as the results you deliver.
