Her Story

About Sunita

Sunita Dhital is a community and property management leader with more than 15 years of experience. She began her career in the United States after immigrating from Nepal in 2009, initially working in restaurants before pursuing vocational training at Lenn Institute to improve her English and computer skills. She earned a hotel management degree from Asherat College in Nepal and completed business administration studies at City College of San Francisco. Sunita gained foundational experience over nearly six years at her first property management company, followed by two years at Action Property Management, and has spent approximately eight years at her current firm, which merged into a larger organization, where she was recently promoted to Regional Director at FirstService Residential. Her expertise centers on property management, including managing high-rise buildings, handling resident service requests, coordinating with vendors, addressing building issues, resolving person-to-person conflicts, and reporting to board members. She maintains her Certified Community Manager credential through CACM and continuous education. Beyond her professional role, Sunita serves as Board President of Bindak Toby with a Helping Hand, a 501c nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Nepalese community with cultural, educational, and humanitarian initiatives. She attributes her success to her family and the recognition of her accomplishments despite challenges as an immigrant, and she lives by the advice to keep moving forward.
