Sunita Patradoon Ho
I'm a former journalist from Sydney, Australia who has built a 14-year career in content strategy and design. I started in digital agencies, working at some of the world's biggest agencies including M&C Saatchi and Huge, where I worked with many financial industry clients. This led me to switch to client-side work at Amazon, where I spent close to 5 years at their Seattle headquarters working on Amazon Kitchen and Amazon Advertising. From there, I moved into FinTech at Robinhood, whose mission was to democratize finance for the everyday investor. My biggest professional achievement was wanting an international career for a very long time at school, then making the move to New York to pursue content design as a discipline. Being in the States where the market was bigger really allowed me to hone in on that specific area of the broader UX design and product design field. I was able to really focus on content design as a discipline after I moved from Sydney to New York. Currently, I serve as Content Design Lead at OKEx, a crypto company, where I manage an international team across 3 different cities. I work very closely with product and engineering on roadmaps, product feature planning, and priorities for upcoming product updates in order to help our customers trade easier on our app and extend their crypto knowledge within our app. What motivates me in this role is mainly trying to solve these complex user problems. I find it really interesting to be able to think about what kind of messaging most resonates to consumers and people, and trying to close that gap.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to get comfortable with having a non-linear career. This means having one source of income, not having to compromise your artistic side in order to participate in these corporate businesses. I think it's important to embrace the fact that your career doesn't have to follow a straight path, and you can maintain your creative interests while working in the corporate world.
