About Sunnie
Sunnie Corbit serves as Assistant Program Manager for the Cadillac Design Studio at General Motors, a role she has held since October of last year. With approximately a decade of experience in the automotive industry, she began her career right out of college and previously worked as a design and release engineer at General Motors after starting at Ford on interior design components. Sunnie studied mechanical engineering and is currently pursuing her MBA at Michigan while holding a Design for Six Sigma Black Belt certification obtained through General Motors. In her role, she works cross-functionally to align engineering, design, and business stakeholders to meet program milestones, enjoying the variety of collaborating with professionals from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. Her career path reflects a commitment to continuous growth, including her transition into program management to better align with brand strategy at the Cadillac Studio, a flagship brand of General Motors. Outside of her professional responsibilities, Sunnie is actively involved with the Autism Alliance of Michigan in the severe autism department, motivated by her brother's autism.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You don't need to know everything on day one. If you stay curious and resilient, and if you're willing to learn, it'll take you so much farther than you could ever know. And just say yes to any opportunities that might stretch you. Some of my biggest periods of growth have come from taking on challenges before I felt completely ready to take them.
