Her Story
About Suranjana
I have spent nearly 18 years in software architecture and engineering after earning my bachelor's in India and moving to the US in 2006 for my master's. I completed an MBA from Kerry School of Business in 2025. Beyond corporate work I founded Goal Lens, an AI-powered platform at goallens.ai for setting and tracking company objectives with evidence and insights. I also built the Crestie Kids app and authored children's storybooks that blend imagination with facts about human progress through industrial and computer ages to help kids embrace change.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Suranjana
01What do you attribute your success to?
I believe it is all about learning and growing. I still feel like there's so much to do and I have a long way to grow. Seeing an idea come into real life from thought to actual product is what makes me most happy.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Be ready for change and do not get scared of it because change is a constant part of life. Keep learning. These two things have helped me move from being a simple software engineer to exploring the business side and the AI age.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be ready for change and keep learning and pivoting. AI may change regular jobs but you can be the one who influences or builds the product using AI. Do not get scared; change brings new opportunities.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The age of AI brings many opportunities. Instead of relying only on teams of developers you can work with AI agents to bring ideas to life. Do not get scared of change; look for how you can fit in and serve humanity better. There are always hidden opportunities if you cross challenges.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Owning the outcome no matter what and being genuine and honest. I believe in working through whatever outcome arises to get it to the best place possible and presenting facts so people understand pros and cons.
