About Surena
Surena Mitchell is the founder of PSense Studio, a Houston-based company specializing in relationship building, business development, brand building, and creative design concepts. With a career spanning recruiting in healthcare, sports, entertainment, and media, including a role with the NFL, she later worked at Club Pilates before pursuing her master's degree and returning to corporate work in legal and grad recruitment. Mitchell earned her undergraduate degree in Public Relations from the University of South Carolina and a master's in Business with marketing from Hampton University. She holds additional certifications including business strategy from McKenzie & Company, paralegal certification from Rice University, retail management, merchandising, distribution, and marketing from Allison, content marketing from HubSpot, and a private investigator license. As a member of organizations such as Big Brother Big Sister, Alpha Kappa Alpha, Candle Lighters, Pink Spines, and the National Black MBA, she founded her own nonprofit, Pink Spines, in 2024 to facilitate clothing donations and partnerships with Texas Children's health and Big Brother Big Sister.
