About Susan
Director, Value Stream Operations: Management of day-to-day Operations with financial responsibility and oversite of Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, Process Engineering, Quality and Customer Care. Management of all capital and financial impact to the business as well as headcount and budgetary analysis.
Sr. Supply Chain Manager: Manage a $38.1M portfolio at A.W. Chesterton, my role centers on forging robust supplier networks and crafting sustainable cost-reduction strategies. Mastery in negotiation and a keen focus on Lean practices were instrumental in the successful launch of numerous New Product Introductions. Execution of global NDA's, supplier agreements, as well as implementation of global SIOP are key to ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
I am a strong advocate for continuous professional development—we should never stop learning. I actively seek opportunities to improve my skills and broaden my perspective, and I place significant value on mentorship. Supporting and mentoring others, and watching them grow and progress in their careers, brings me a great sense of pride and fulfillment. Developing people is not only personally rewarding, but essential to building strong, sustainable organizations.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Take the chance. Trust your abilities—you can do this.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be your best advocate, know your worth and set boundaries! Don't avoid conflict because when you do, that just gives you a false peace, the conflict is still there, you're just ignoring it. Always remember...life begins at the end of your comfort zone. Show up as the best version of yourself that you are capable of being. Progress over perfection!
