Her Story

About Susan

Susan Reid began her journey in 2000 as an undergraduate English major, studying myth, symbols, and critical theory, which led her to explore astrology and Jungian psychology. She earned a master's degree in literature and studied at the Center for Psychological Astrology in London while teaching English abroad. Since becoming a practicing professional astrologer in 2009, Reid has integrated the language of astrology with breathwork and Kundalini Yoga practices, for which she is Level 2 certified through KRI. As the owner of Susan Reid Astrology LLC since 2019, she provides life coaching that emphasizes emotional safety, integrity, and the resilience of the human spirit, attributing her success to her own inner healing work and emotional courage. She is also ISAR certified and has served on the board of the International Society of Astrological Research.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Susan

01What do you attribute your success to?

My own healing process and my willingness to do the inner work. Being emotionally courageous allows me to guide others through seeing themselves and having emotional courage, which I know from personal experience.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Believe in yourself and know yourself. You don't have to have it all figured out before you start. It's okay to change and evolve. Don't let uncertainty be paralyzing. Excitement and passion for what you want to bring to the world is the most important part. Do whatever you need to do to self-reflect.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge is capital investment if you don't have a lot to invest. But it's not true that you need lots of resources; you can start from anywhere. Social media is a big opportunity for getting your work out there, and authenticity is well rewarded right now.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Emotional safety, creating safety and trust. Integrity is really important. Being ethical. Hope and the resilience of the human spirit, being able to demonstrate and embody resiliency of soul and spirit.
