About Susan
Susan Wise, PhD, LPC, has worked in the field of psychotherapy since 1988. She began her career in a pediatric practice working with kids and families and later developed programs for families with cancer at Children's Hospital, including art therapy and team-building projects. Susan has also worked with geriatrics and veterans, collaborated with psychiatrists and pediatricians, and taken sabbaticals to study nursing homes, business needs assessments, and work with pedophiles on parole or probation. She earned her PhD in marriage and family and counseling after starting with psychology and political science and completed a special study program at Harvard University for six to eight months. Susan maintains an LPC license and was previously a member of EPA. In addition to her clinical work, she has volunteered with the Ronald McDonald House, MS initiatives, hearing programs, Down syndrome support, and services for autistic kids and adults. She prefers in-person therapy but has also learned tele-mental health.
