What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being self-motivated and goal-oriented, always striving for excellence in everything I do. I lead by example, manage my time effectively, and remain focused on achieving results while inspiring those around me. This combination of dedication, discipline, and leadership has allowed me to consistently meet challenges and exceed expectations throughout my career.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to put yourself out there and actively pursue what you want. Approach every opportunity with an ownership mindset take initiative, be accountable, and think strategically about the impact you can make. By combining courage with a proactive attitude, you position yourself to grow, lead, and create meaningful results in your career.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would advise young women entering this industry to embrace the unknown and approach every opportunity with curiosity and openness. Don’t be afraid to explore new ideas and perspectives, and strive to differentiate yourself by bringing your unique strengths and voice to the table. Commit to continuous learning both through formal education and by seeking insights from colleagues and mentors and always remain receptive to growth and feedback. Standing out requires confidence, adaptability, and a dedication to developing your skills while learning from the experiences of others.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
With speaking, there's a lot of competition. More and more people are wanting to use speaking as a way to build their businesses and their brand, and there's a lot of competition. I think it's hard having the patience to find the right opportunities - you're not going to get selected for everything. People want results right away, and it's a bit of a long game. Even getting paid, it takes some time. So working your way up with your speaker fees, finding ways to monetize by accepting different things besides the speaker fee - are you selling a book? Are you connecting with people that could lead to a coaching client? There's so many ways to use the speaking opportunity as a way to bring in money. I just want people to think outside the box a little bit on that.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are openness and honesty, mutual respect, and a genuine eagerness to learn and grow. I embrace challenges as opportunities for development and strive to approach every situation with integrity, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit. These principles guide how I interact with others and how I pursue both personal and professional growth.
