About Suzanne
Suzanne Baseman has been involved in the floor business throughout much of her life due to her upbringing on the contracting side of wood floors. After 11 years as a stay-at-home mom, she joined her family's manufacturing company last October, where she works on the sales side handling customer service and some sales for a dealer network. She also coaches at her CrossFit gym on the side. She aims to increase sales significantly and strengthen the company's presence with WNBA teams whose floors they have done. Suzanne values staying true to her word, honesty, transparency, working hard, following through, and maintaining family closeness while offering grace with boundaries.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Do it scared, do it anyway. That's probably the biggest thing for me because I kind of had like a total life change in the last year and there's a lot of unknowns and I think you just have to fake it until you make it. Take a day at a time honestly.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges include being in a very male-dominant industry where you have to keep showing up and proving that you are capable. Opportunities feel like the sky's the limit, especially wanting stronger presence with WNBA teams whose floors the company has done.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Staying true to your word and being honest with people. Grace with boundaries. Working hard, following through. Family is important and keeping them close. Honesty, transparency, following through.
