Her Interview
Ten minutes with Suzanne
01What do you attribute your success to?
My determination, my diligence, and really, if I had to put, like, a life mantra on myself, being my authentic and genuine self along the way. After 20 years of experience in my field, I get to be kind of at that career point where I'm able to really carry a lot more weight than when I was younger, when I first started out in my field. And being able to really cut through the barriers a lot quicker just because of the experience, but I am a very empathetic human being, and at the end of the day, I'm working with humans, and so my job is to support them, it's never to delay them or any of that.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
At the end of the day, I can only control myself. I have no control over the outcome of my team or the project, I can do everything exactly 100% correct and potentially could still fail. At the end of the day, all I have control is over myself. And the rest is just the way life is.
