About Suzanne
I've been in the legal field for about 5 years, and my most notable professional achievement has been getting my associate's degree in paralegal studies from Daytona State College in Daytona Beach, Florida. During my time there, I learned a lot, made new friends, and became president of the paralegal club at the college. I developed strong leadership skills and was honored to be on the Dean's List. Before I left Florida, I was working as a file clerk for a law firm, but then I got sick with COVID and was let go. After that, I traveled across the United States, but I felt homesick and wanted to come back to Kentucky to be with the friends that I had, which are now considered family. I returned to Kentucky in 2020 and got married to my long-lost love, someone I hadn't seen for over 30 years since we dated when I was in my teens and early 20s. We got married about 3 years ago. I had to stop working for a time to take care of my husband, and then I was taking care of my mom for a while before she passed away. It took me a while to find myself after losing my parent, but I've been going to church now and found a church I was happy with and loved. Now I'm going back to school to get my bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, and I'm actively trying to get employment as a paralegal and pursuing internships. I know it's going to take time, but getting your bachelor's degree is one of the best ways I know to get employment as a paralegal.
