Her Story
About Suzanne
Suzanne Rhoden-Mancini is the Founder & CEO of Platinum Consulting, a healthcare consulting, training, and leadership firm she launched in 2014. Her path into entrepreneurship grew out of more than two decades spent in healthcare sales, where she first noticed significant gaps in how new hires were being trained. Rather than simply pointing out the problem, Suzanne began developing her own curriculum to address it, eventually building that work into a full consulting practice. Today, her firm partners with healthcare companies across the country, with particular depth in the hospice and home care space, helping organizations sharpen their sales performance, boost admissions, and drive sustainable revenue growth through customized training programs. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida's College of Communications, studying advertising, a background she credits with shaping her sharp instincts for communication and persuasion in business.
Much of Suzanne's professional philosophy traces back to her upbringing, particularly the example set by her mother, who broke ground as the first female educational administrator in their county. That experience instilled in her an early belief in self-reliance and financial independence, principles she has carried into both her career and her leadership style. Suzanne points to patience paired with timing as one of the most valuable lessons she's learned in business, noting that real success comes from taking the time to understand clients deeply rather than rushing relationships. Credibility sits at the center of everything she does, a value she sees as inseparable from honesty, trust, and consistently following through on commitments. It's this same philosophy she passes along to younger women entering the industry: treat others the way you wish to be treated, stay consistent, and carve out a niche that sets you apart from the competition.
Suzanne has built her business around adaptability, a trait she considers essential in an industry that faces constant disruption from reimbursement cuts and shifting regulations. Rather than resisting change, her firm is designed to help clients navigate it, crafting strategies flexible enough to hold up as the healthcare landscape evolves. Beyond her professional work, she is a dedicated advocate for geriatric patients and considers herself a senior advocate at heart, channeling much of her energy into supporting this population. In recognition of her contributions, she was selected as one of the Influential Women representing Jacksonville, Florida for 2026. Outside of work, she treasures time spent with family on the lake near her home, whether that means boat rides or vacations with close friends, moments that keep her grounded amid the demands of running a growing business.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Suzanne
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to watching my mother growing up. She was the first female educational administrator in our county, and she always told me that I would grow up one day and have a husband I could never fully depend on for everything — so I needed to take care of myself and make my own money. Once I did that, everything else fell into place.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've received is that you have to be patient in business, but you also have to know when to strike. A lot of that comes down to truly understanding your clients and taking the time to get to know them.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would tell young women to treat people the way they want to be treated, and to stay consistent — consistency is what creates credibility. Stay the course, and find a way to do something that no one else is doing. That's how I've been successful: I know what other companies are offering, and I know what we offer is different. We've been able to double the size of our clients' businesses because of that consistency and differentiation.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
In healthcare, constant reimbursement cuts are consistently hurting our clients, which is why we build customized plans to help them navigate that inevitable change — because change is really the only constant we can count on. Adaptability is one of the biggest keys, personally and professionally. Some people get locked into "this is the way we've always done it," and you simply can't operate that way. Within my own business, the challenge is having enough time in the day — we're constantly reworking our schedules to accommodate everyone and figuring out the right time to make our next hire.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Credibility is the most important value to me, whether personally or professionally. To me, credibility encompasses both honesty and trust, because you can't be credible without either one. It also means doing what you say you're going to do — a lot of people say they'll do something and never follow through, and that's something I hold myself to consistently.
