Her Interview
Ten minutes with Suzie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I have a solid foundation. I'm married to my high school sweetheart. Whatever I do, he supports, so whether it's a success or a failure, he's constantly, continuously telling me to keep going, keep shooting for the stars, and that foundation is so important. Without him, I don't know if I'd be able to be this brave, but he inspires me to be as brave as I can.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It's ever-changing. It's ever-exciting. Just go for it. Even if you think it's not the right fit. My boss when he hired me, I said no 5 times. I live in northern Minnesota on the Canadian border in a small town. After jumping in on this all in, I have found myself sitting next to the outdoor channel nationally like the President. You just never know. Jump in and go for it. You never know what door that's gonna lead to next.
