My passion for baking started when I was a young girl. I always loved baking and cooking, making all sorts of sweet cakes and cookies. I would give them out to people and sometimes ask them to buy them, though nobody did - they would just take them without paying, and I was enjoying it because I just loved to bake. I continued this as a hobby while I was in school, even while attending law school in Nigeria where I earned both my bachelor's degree and master's degree in law. I even made my own wedding cake 23 to 24 years ago. The real turning point came about 9 to 10 years ago when my older brother wanted to get married. I volunteered to provide his wedding cake, but instead of baking it myself, I contacted a professional who charged me $8,000 for the cake. That's when it hit me - I loved baking, I'd been doing it since childhood as a hobby, so what was stopping me from making money from it? I decided to take action, attended some master classes, and the rest is history. I was selling baked goods from home until I built my bakery from scratch almost 4 years ago. Now at Sweet Admirer Bakery, we specialize in custom cakes, custom wedding cakes, custom desserts, and all kinds of baked goods - cookies, bread, everything you can think of. We have a physical location in Houston and also sell online, shipping throughout the U.S. People around the bakery know me as Sweet because I've been providing sweets for so long - nobody even knows me by my real name, Constance.
