Symantha Schaeffer

Symantha Schaeffer is an accomplished Applications Manager at H.J. Baker & Bro., LLC, with over two decades of experience in agriculture, logistics, and business systems management. She began her career in 2002 as an Administrative Assistant, overseeing inbound and outbound loads, managing inventory, and addressing customer service and trucking operations. After returning to H.J. Baker in 2008, she expanded her expertise in plant operations, marketing, and logistics, supporting six feed facilities and handling contracts, supplier relations, and reporting for sales teams. Her hands-on experience across multiple operational areas gave her a deep understanding of both the business and technical sides of the company.

Over time, Symantha transitioned into IT and systems leadership, leveraging her expertise in Oracle and other enterprise platforms to optimize processes and support business operations. She became an Oracle Super User, coordinated production and pricing, assisted with purchasing, and supported IT troubleshooting across plants. In 2014, she formally joined the IT department, overseeing business application development, reporting tools, and the implementation of new systems such as Sage X3. Her ability to merge technical knowledge with operational insight has made her a key leader in driving efficiency and system improvements across the organization.

Today, Symantha leads enterprise application strategy while remaining a hands-on problem solver, evaluating software solutions, managing data, and resolving technical challenges directly. Known for her adaptability, resilience, and self-driven growth, she has continually reinvented her role to expand her skills and impact. Beyond her professional life, Symantha enjoys traveling with her husband, especially cruises and hiking adventures, reflecting her commitment to balance, exploration, and lifelong learning.
