Her Story

About Tabatha

Tabatha Murray serves as Regional Practice Administrator for the dental practice where she works, a role she has held with progressive responsibility since approximately 2020. She entered the dentistry field in 2014 as a Registered Dental Hygienist following her graduation from the Ferris State University Dental Hygiene Program, which she completed after beginning prerequisites in 2009. Over the years, she advanced from hygiene team lead to clinical director overseeing clinical staff at one location, then to office manager, and eventually to her current regional position as the practice expanded from two to four locations. In this capacity, she manages operations, develops and implements processes, oversees office managers across all sites, handles provider allocation, coordinates trainings, and creates calendars. Tabatha attributes her success to ongoing self-development and self-reflection, which she applies to navigate challenges and support the growth of clinicians and business team members. She is a member of the American Dental Association and the Hygiene Association. She advises young women entering the industry to embrace hard tasks, show up dependably, ask questions, and take on challenges without fear.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tabatha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I would say it is definitely learning more about myself, and constantly pulling out that material, reflecting on that, you know, when there is something that comes up, because there's fires all the time. There's always something, you know, that'll come up, and you're just… I feel like that's what I would… I think that's what I lean most on, is that self-development and self-reflection.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I feel like I would tell them not to underestimate the value of being willing to do the hard things. You know, show up. Be dependable, ask questions. Don't be afraid to take on a challenge or something that might feel uncomfortable. But they can do it. You've got this.
