Ten minutes with Tabatha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining an open mind and embracing change as an opportunity for growth and improvement. By fostering trust through collaboration and transparency, I believe in building strong relationships, listening to diverse perspectives, and creating alignment around shared goals. As a trusted advisor, I am committed to driving results, delivering operational excellence, and ensuring our customers remain at the center of every decision. My approach combines accountability, adaptability, and a dedication to achieving positive outcomes for both the business and the customers we serve.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
My mentors, Dorothy Stith and Dr. Lakysha Laing, taught me the importance of stepping outside my comfort zone, embracing new opportunities, and trusting in my abilities. They encouraged me to get out of my own way, invest in building meaningful professional relationships, and consistently strive for operational excellence. Just as importantly, they showed me the value of advocating for myself with confidence, speaking up professionally, and setting healthy boundaries. Through their guidance, I learned that it is okay to say “no” respectfully when necessary, while maintaining strong relationships and staying focused on priorities. Their mentorship has helped shape my leadership style, confidence, and commitment to both personal and professional growth.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Stay strong and believe in yourself, your value, your experience, your perspective, and your voice. Step outside your comfort zone, embrace change, and never stop learning. Build genuine relationships along the way, and never underestimate the power of your own resilience — your growth is shaped by the impact you make every single day.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The challenges in my field give me the chance to dig deep, identify risks, and partner with my teams to resolve issues using root cause analysis, a skill I've sharpened through my Green Belt training. At the same time, the opportunities feel endless — whether it's building my personal brand, helping others grow, or giving back to my community.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust, hard work, respect, and dependability guide everything I do, both professionally and personally. I also hold onto perseverance — the discipline to keep pushing forward even on the days when I don't feel like it.
