Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tabitha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to proving that I could do it, fighting tooth and nail against the men who ruled the industry back then, and never quitting even when I could have walked away many times.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't quit. I had to fight for the positions that I got in the newspaper business when women were thought lesser than men, and there were several times I could have walked away but I didn't, and I moved up the ladder to become a circulation director, and when I started my own business I could have quit 100 times but didn't.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I believe in being honest in both work and personal life. Family and my husband are important. Hard work, and family time - getting the kids and mom together for cookouts or dinners. I try to analyze things and come up with solutions.
