About TaLora
TaLora Sanders is an HR professional with over 10 years of experience in manufacturing. In her role, she manages employee relations, investigations, conflict resolution, and extensive problem solving, often through numerous meetings. She recently started with a new company where she faces challenges in obtaining fast approvals for budgeting but sees opportunities in presenting to the CEO to secure long-term projects for the site. She is currently pursuing her MBA, which has helped her develop strong prioritization skills while balancing work, education, and family life with two children. One of her proudest accomplishments is publishing the book I Work in HR, which offers candid insights into the realities of working in the field. Her core values center on integrity in both professional and personal spheres, and she often shares the career advice to trust but verify.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Trust but verify. That's probably the HR coming out of me, but it comes up a lot more every day than you would think.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Challenges and opportunities are one in the same. Recently started with new company; challenge is getting movement or fast approvals from brick for budgeting and different things needed at the site. Opportunity because I have built presentations to present to the CEO in hopes it brings in new long-term projects for the site.
