Tamara Cooper has been active in the information technology field since 2015. Her interest in technology began in high school, where she served as vice president of the technology club and gained experience fixing computers and printers. She holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a concentration in Computer System Security from Colorado Technical University, which she completed in 2015 with a GPA of 3.84. She also earned a bachelor's degree and an associate's degree in computer science and information technology. In her role, Tamara assists users by resolving issues submitted through systems such as ServiceNow. Her typical responsibilities include managing tickets for user access, class creation, financial matters, and other technical problems. She values job satisfaction and self-fulfillment in both her professional and personal life. The best career advice she received from her parents was to put her mind to it and choose the job she wants.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from my parents. They told me that once I put my mind to it, I could actually choose the job that I want. That was the best advice.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women in the field is to follow your heart and your dreams because it will actually lead you to where you want to be in life. Sometimes life can hold you down, but just don't let it be careful from your dreams.
