Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tamara

01What do you attribute your success to?

My background growing up in foster care taught me perseverance. Don't give up on yourself. Don't believe what everybody else says. I had no support system, no safety net, so the drive in me told me don't give up and don't listen to the naysayers.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Perseverance. Don't give up on yourself. Don't believe what everybody else says.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't give up. There are gonna be hard days. Own your mistakes. Facts have no feelings. Don't take things personally. Just look at the facts.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Making sure not only patients' needs are met but staff needs are met too. Be there to be a support for my staff. Staff deal with the brunt of the work from patients and insurance companies.
