Tamara Oakley

I am a graduate student at Liberty University with a focus on enhancing communication across cultures using media, writing, and language. My experience spans K–12 education, including roles as an American Sign Language Teacher and Special Education Teacher at Lockhart ISD, Teacher’s Assistant at Austin ISD, and Substitute Teacher at San Marcos CISD.

I am passionate about inclusive and accessible education, intercultural communication, and professional development. In addition to my teaching experience, I serve as Vice President of Public Relations for the New Braunfels Toastmasters Club, where I develop communication strategies, manage public relations, and support members’ growth in public speaking and leadership.

I am committed to bridging communication gaps, fostering effective learning environments, and helping individuals and communities achieve meaningful engagement and success.
