Tamika Puckett, CRMP is a seasoned Insurance and Strategic Operations Executive with more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, having worked in diverse roles on both the client and consulting sides. Since 2025, she has served as Executive Vice President of Insurance and Public Sector & Education Practice Leader at Protecdiv, Inc., guiding a national team of risk professionals in delivering tailored insurance and risk management solutions for public entities, educational institutions, and nonprofits across the United States. Prior to joining Protecdiv, Tamika held a national leadership role at Willis Towers Watson as National Public Sector Leader. Her expertise centers on strategic risk management, insurance solutions, and resilience-building for organizations navigating complex operational, financial, and regulatory environments.

Throughout her career, Tamika has focused on leveraging data-driven approaches and innovative strategies to address emerging risks, including workforce planning, cybersecurity, and compliance challenges. She is particularly excited about her current work leading a major nonprofit project, reflecting her dedication to creating meaningful impact for mission-driven organizations. Her thought leadership has been shared through speaking engagements, publications, and industry forums such as PRIMA’s Emerging Tech & Risk Symposium, where she explores how public entities can proactively manage evolving risks.

Tamika earned a Master’s degree in Financial Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 2012 and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Georgia State University. She is a RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), holds a property and casualty insurance producer license, and remains actively engaged in the professional community through memberships in RIMS and PRIMA. Outside of her professional pursuits, Tamika enjoys traveling and dedicates time to volunteer work, particularly with local food banks, supporting communities in need.

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to being willing to take risks and challenging myself to do something different. I've never been afraid to step outside my comfort zone and try new approaches, which has opened up opportunities throughout my career.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Take advantage of all opportunities to learn something new. You are the controller of your own destiny. Those are the two pieces of advice I always share with young women entering the field.
