About Tamika

Tamika Watts is a Certified Payroll Specialist and Prevailing Wage Consultant with more than a decade of experience in construction labor compliance. As the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Compliance Professional Group, she partners with contractors on heavy civil, residential, and public works projects, helping them navigate the complexities of prevailing wage regulations and certified payroll requirements. Leading a dedicated compliance team, Tamika ensures contractors remain compliant with state and federal labor laws by providing expert guidance, thorough payroll audits, and practical compliance solutions that minimize risk and support project success.

Before launching her own firm, Tamika built an accomplished career in labor compliance with one of the nation's leading construction companies, where she managed certified payroll requirements for projects ranging from small public works contracts to large-scale, multi-million-dollar infrastructure developments. She is recognized for her expertise in California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) regulations, contractor compliance audits, apprenticeship requirements, and workforce documentation. Tamika also holds a certificate in State and Federal Labor Laws through LCPtracker and attended Arizona State University, where she pursued studies in Global Management and Organizational Leadership.

Driven by a passion for service and a commitment to family, Tamika founded her business to create greater flexibility in her own life while helping others succeed. She is dedicated to empowering contractors through education, accountability, and trusted compliance support, while building a company that offers meaningful work-life balance opportunities for professionals, particularly working mothers. Looking ahead, Tamika plans to expand her firm's services and establish a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting contractors and their families, reflecting her belief that strong communities and successful businesses are built through collaboration, integrity, and opportunity.
