Tammy Cartledge is the Chief Executive Officer and owner of LRC Promotions, a successful promotions and embroidery business she founded in 2011 in Covington, Georgia. Beginning as a home-based operation with 2 single-head embroidery machines, Tammy has grown the company into a multi-head production shop employing a dedicated team of four women. Under her leadership, LRC Promotions provides custom embroidery and apparelalong with promotional products and engraving to a diverse client base, including state agencies, law enforcement, and private-sector organizations. A self-taught entrepreneur, Tammy’s professional philosophy centers on balancing business success with personal well-being. She prioritizes family and self-care, believing that a strong foundation at home enables her to support her team and clients effectively. Her commitment to excellence, integrity, and values-driven leadership has earned her recognition, including being featured by Influential Women representing Covington, Georgia in 2026. Outside of her professional life, Tammy enjoys spending time with her husband of 28 years, their three adult children and spouses, and three grandchildren. A passionate supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, you can usually find her and her husband at most all of the games home and away. Tammy also enjoys equestrian shows, golf outings, and family activities, reflecting her dedication to both family and community.

I attribute my success to a combination of hard work, a genuine desire to make a difference, and a commitment to inspiring other women. I believe that starting from the ground up, with determination and perseverance, demonstrates that anything is possible.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to stay true to myself and never change who I am. Authenticity is key—always be yourself.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering my industry to never give up and to keep pushing forward. I believe persistence is essential—meeting your commitments, learning from each experience, and continuing to grow through repeated effort are what lead to long-term success.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is meeting deadlines. Balancing multiple projects while ensuring quality work under time constraints requires strong organization, focus, and effective time management. At the same time, it presents an opportunity to sharpen prioritization skills and develop strategies for working efficiently without compromising results.

The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are putting family first and maintaining a healthy balance. I believe in taking care of myself while staying committed to my responsibilities, ensuring that I can give my best to both my loved ones and my career.
