Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tammy

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance, lifelong experience, and a commitment to helping others. Organizing has been a part of my life since childhood, growing up in a large family where responsibility and structure were emphasized. Through volunteer work, personal challenges, and years of hands-on experience, I developed practical skills and resilience. Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, recovering from accidents, and facing personal hardships, I never gave up. I remained positive, continued learning, and focused on serving others with compassion and dedication.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to be passionate about organizing and genuinely enjoy helping people. Success in this field requires patience, compassion, and a willingness to assist clients through challenging situations. When working with seniors or vulnerable individuals, it is important to approach every situation with grace, understanding, and respect. Be courageous, nonjudgmental, and committed to making a positive difference in people’s lives while honoring their personal choices and circumstances.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the greatest opportunities in professional organizing is the growing demand for services that help individuals and families create more functional, manageable living spaces. Increased visibility and professional branding make it easier to connect with clients who need support. At the same time, challenges include finding clients who are the right fit, managing unrealistic expectations, navigating inconsistent pricing within the industry, and encouraging more sustainable habits related to donating, reusing, and responsibly managing household items.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide my work and personal life are compassion, patience, honesty, integrity, and service to others. I believe in treating every client with respect and understanding while helping them improve their daily lives. I am also committed to environmental stewardship through donation and reuse efforts, humanitarian support for those in need, and making a positive impact within my community. My goal is always to help others while maintaining kindness, professionalism, and ethical principles.
