Her Story
About Tammy
Tammy Williams is a Life Enrichment Coach based in Madisonville, Kentucky, with more than 18 years of professional experience, including over a decade in her current role guiding women empowerment sessions and providing caretaking support within her community. Her career path began in childcare before she moved into healthcare, where she spent years caring for elderly individuals living with Alzheimer's and dementia. That foundation in compassionate caregiving continues to inform the way she approaches her work today, blending practical support with genuine encouragement for the women she serves.
Rather than following a traditional academic path, Williams built her expertise through what she calls the School of Hard Knocks, supplementing her lived experience with multiple professional certificates, including coursework in medical billing and insurance coding. Her career has also included time as a customer service manager and certified medical assistant, experiences that sharpened both her organizational skills and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life. As founder and executive director of LipStyck Language, she has built a platform dedicated to helping women rebuild themselves one individual at a time, a mission recognized when she was honored by the Collective of Women Within the Community in 2019.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Williams has dedicated herself to community service, having previously served on the board of the Salvation Army and currently volunteering with Heather's Sisters, an organization that supports women affected by trafficking. Her honors include recognition as the most humble and most helpful member of her team, along with a Courageous Award reflecting her leadership and dedication. She is also a published author, having written "A Shattered Child: Bruised but not Broken." Grounded in values of honesty, authenticity, and strong character, Williams credits her success to consistency, perseverance, and an unwavering intentionality about the goals she sets for herself and the women she helps along the way.

Ten minutes with Tammy
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to consistency, perseverance, and being intentional about the goals I've set for myself. It also comes down to getting up every single day and showing up, even when it's hard.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've ever received is to always show up as myself. Being my best, authentic self and moving forward one step at a time has carried me through my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I'd tell young women to go where their heart leads them. Be compassionate, go in with an open mind and a bit of grit, and make sure you do your research first so you know it's truly something you want to pursue.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenge in my field is that there aren't enough people who are truly committed to this work. Too many enter it just for the paycheck rather than out of genuine calling.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me, both professionally and personally, are honesty, authenticity, compassion, and letting my character show through in everything I do.
